Peter Pappas
Peter Pappas of the Clement Pappas Company. From 1966 until his death in 2010, Peter Pappas was dedicated to the company founded by his father, a first-generation immigrant from Greece. The Clement Pappas Company began as a small vegetable cannery in the fertile farming region of the “Garden State” in southern New Jersey. Peter recognized that building on a foundation of private label would be the key to future growth, continuing independence and ultimate success for the family-held company. He led the company’s expansion over four decades, establishing a nationwide presence as a private label juice and beverage company with five production plants and hundreds of employees. His legacy continued following the company’s merger with Lassonde, another family-held company that is among the top Canadian beverage suppliers.
