As the co-Chief Executive of Ralcorp Holdings – incorporating diversified business units that include a number of the leading suppliers of store brands – David Skarie was among the first to put a public face on the private label food industry for the Wall Street investment community. Having joined the Ralston Purina Company in 1986. Following the company’s re-formation as Ralston Foods in 1994, his leadership was instrumental to the successful transformation of a hundred-year-old branded food and feed company into a major publicly traded holding company for private label concerns – including cereals, pastas, prepared, bakery, frozens and snack foods.
