Manufacturers
Member manufacturers supply products in partnership with supermarkets and food retailers, club stores, drug chains, mass merchandisers, internet retailers, dollar stores and discounters, specialty retailers, co-ops and wholesalers, international retailers, military, and food service. They produce food, snacks, beverages, health and beauty, household, kitchen and general merchandise.
Trade Suppliers
Member trade suppliers provide products and services to manufacturers, which includes advertising, promotion, marketing and research services, containers, bottles, closures and flexible packaging, flavors, fragrances and ingredients, folding and shipping cartons, freight, transportation and warehousing, logistics and supply chain management, manufacturing equipment, pallets and platforms, printing, graphics, labels and point-of-purchase, product development, testing and certification, raw materials and chemicals, software and technology, trade associations and publications.
Brokers
Broker members of PLMA are independent professionals who partner with private label manufacturers to help build and grow the supplier’s business. Often serving as full-fledged representatives of the client manufacturer, they can amplify its sales force by creating, managing and expanding its relationships with retailers, wholesalers or distributors. Brokers can also be involved in the innovation and development of private label products and keeping the manufacturer’s decision makers up to date on market conditions, consumer trends, and new retail opportunities.
