Don Welge, CEO, President and General Manager of Gilster-Mary Lee Corp. For four decades, Don piloted Gilster-Mary Lee through significant expansions, adding production capabilities to serve retail customers, in addition to contract and foodservice accounts, across dry categories that range from baking mixes, pasta and cereals to pudding and drink mixes, gravies and sauces, and much, more. His stewardship built the privately-held Gilster-Mary Lee company into a highly rewarded $900 million dollar-plus private label private label powerhouse – with fifteen plants and 3,500 employees, supplying more than 8,000 items to the market under 500 or more different private label brands. As a manufacturer, Don exemplified the high standards and integrity that suppliers bring to the private label partnership.
