Store Brands Month is a national consumer awareness initiative bringing together retailers, wholesalers, and private label suppliers to elevate the visibility of store brand products among  shoppers nationwide.

The month-long campaign shines a spotlight on the quality, value, innovation and variety of store brands, drawing shopper attention across every category in both brick-and-mortar and online retail platforms.

Participating retailers and wholesalers help drive shopper engagement with impactful promotional and informational strategies during Store Brands Month that showcase food and nonfood products  in-store and across digital and social media channels.

LogoThe goal of Store Brands Month is to raise consumer awareness of the quality, value and assortment store brands offer while also increasing shoppers’ trial and purchase of the retailers’ own brands. Surveys consistently show that sampling is store brands’ best friend when it comes to convincing consumers to switch their allegiance away from national brands. This “sticky” effect, the result of a good experience with their new choice, often leads consumers to eschew national brands and permanently change their preference to store brands, say the surveys.
