Andy Russick, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Pacific Coast Producers, has dedicated his career to supporting, expanding, and improving private brands. As a leading manufacturer that supplies more than 400 unique private brands, his company is a pioneer in the industry. Andy was instrumental in building one of the largest private brand programs in support of the American farmer that is now present in grocery stores and school cafeterias across the country. He’s also worked tirelessly to introduce organic tomatoes in the foodservice and retail markets, that has now become the fastest growing segment of private label canned tomatoes. To launch products and expand markets, he spearheaded the initial application process for the USDA’s Specialty Crop marketing grants. Then unique to the industry, these grants are now mainstream for private label manufacturers. Whether it’s sustainability or non-intent BPA containers, Andy is forward thinking in his approach to do the right thing to propel private brands to be leaders in the marketplace.
