Terry Lee has made innumerable contributions to store brands development, merchandising, and marketing programs over the course of a distinguished career in retail spanning several decades. Most recently, as Vice President of Private Brands at Dollar General, he led a reinvention of the chain’s private brands program. While introducing hundreds of new products under the Clover Valley and Sweet Smiles brands, he helped drive their private label penetration to 25%. Earlier, working in similar vein as vice president at both Safeway and Albertsons, he had a major hand in the creation of some of the leading retailer brands and products in the marketplace though the 1990s and early 2000s. After taking retirement from retailing, he has brought the same deep expertise to consulting clients in retailing and manufacturing as a principal with The Partnering Group and with Private Brand Advisors.
