Nancy Cota continues to be a force for the evolution of store brands. For nearly four decades with Safeway and as Vice President of Own Brands at Albertsons, she focuses on product management, brand management and innovation at the leading edge of consumer trends. Her impact on the industry has been indisputable. At Safeway, she made important contributions to O Organics – now a $1 billion brand for Albertsons – and she spearheaded the launch of their Open Nature line of “free-from” products. With Albertsons, she has led program development for fresh and premium, including Primo Taglio, Waterfront Bistro, Signature Café and other brands.
