Tom Chaffee entered private label sales for Presto Products in 1973. In his early 20s, fresh out of the Air Force, the work held tremendous appeal, because he could see his future in becoming part of an enterprise where everybody wins, from the seller to the buyer to the consumer. It was a belief unshaken in 36 years with Presto, advancing to become Vice President of Sales, and subsequently with the Sturm Foods division of TreeHouse from which he retired in 2016. By demonstrating throughout an exemplary career that store brands success and good business practices are compatible with idealism and the highest personal standards, Tom earned the admiration of industry colleagues and a reputation for un-paralleled honesty and integrity among his customers.
