Kristie Nicolosi, CEO, The Kingswood Company, has grown her private label jewelry care company almost tenfold since she acquired it in 2005. What was once thought of as “give away” products by consumers have become a growing category for retailers to bolster their offerings and earned Kristie recognition in Fortune magazine’s Inner City 100 list, which recognizes the fastest growing urban businesses in the U.S. In her efforts to get retailers to recognize the sales power of the jewelry cleaning category, she reenergized the company’s offerings, expanded design capabilities and offered products tailored to customers’ own brands. Kristie has expanded the company’s distribution channels to grow it from almost exclusively U.S. domestic retail jewelers to distribution on six continents and to 12,000 doors worldwide.
