In addition to all the exhibitors of private label products and the many presentations during the show, there are other aspects which make visiting the show a must.
Nearly 2 dozen national pavilions with more than 300 exhibitors will be featured for retailers looking to find ethnic and international food products to put their store brands on at PLMA's Trade Show, November 13-15.
The participants in pavilions from Europe, Latin America and Asia will join more than 1,000 other exhibitors of food and non-food store brand products at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, in Chicago.
The PLMA Show will have delegations from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Columbia, Denmark, France, Greece, Guatemala, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kosovo, Peru, Serbia, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, and Turkey.
This reflects the growing popularity of new and exotic cuisines among consumers. Products with a strong ethnic or international character continues to increase on store shelves as consumers seek these new products.
"U.S. retailers don’t have to cross the pond to find a great selection of ethnic and international store brand food products," says Peggy Davies, PLMA president.
Also adding to the show’s uniqueness is its size and its convenient location to visit from almost anywhere in the United States and around the world, and visiting Chicago, one of the world’s greatest cities.
In a recent interview with PLMA Live, Anthony Aloia, PLMA’s Corporate Vice President, said "The Show is annually ranked a Gold 100 event, identifying it as one of the largest trade shows in North America. We'll be that big again this year, with about 1,300 companies accounting for some 2,200 exhibition booths," he said. "The Show requires more than one million square feet of exhibition space and the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, in Rosemont, is one of the few venues in the U.S. that can accommodate us."
"Another plus for Chicago," he added, "it's geographically convenient to reach by most of our attendees. Centrally located O’Hare International Airport offers nearly 900 daily direct flights to 180 U.S, cities. In addition, there are 105 daily direct flights to 62 international destinations, this is important for our international exhibitors and attendees from more than 50 countries. And the Show location in Rosemont and its surrounding hotels are literally minutes -- about 3 miles -- from O'Hare by courtesy van, cab, car, train, or bus".
Aloia also reminded attendees "And don't forget the vibrancy of one of the world's great cities. Every year, many find time to visit the city's downtown, its museums, shopping, historical and cultural places, restaurants, sports events."
