Dollar General is planning to offer produce in 10,000 of its stores across the country over the next several years, a major increase from the 1,300 stores where produce is currently offered. The move is a continuation of Dollar General’s effort to offer more grocery items in its stores.
The announcement was made in conjunction with the unveiling of a new partnership with Feeding America. Dollar General said has donated $1 million to Feeding America and is working with the organization to provide access to healthier food resources in rural and underserved communities across the country.
