PLMA 2021 Annual Meeting
The PLMA Annual Meeting provides the membership with important information on the state of their association and plans for its future. Following the President’s Report and the latest Financial Report, as required by association bylaws, PLMA members will vote to elect their Executive Committee leadership, as well as new members to the PLMA Board of Directors.
The Leadership Conference
PLMA’S Annual Meeting & Leadership Conference presents an online program of insightful speakers and interactive sessions that will focus on the strategic imperatives of the private label partnerships, explore the best practices of retailers and suppliers in 2021, and help you expand your strategic vision. Featured speakers include Cadent Consulting Group’s Kenneth Harris, CVS Health’s Brenda Lord, and former Disney innovation executive Duncan Wardle.
Ken Harris, managing partner with Cadent Consulting Group will open a dialogue on the health of the private label partnership drawing on research that documents store brands’ importance to retailers’ profitability in a year marked by extraordinary challenges. Brenda Lord of CVS Health will provide a retailer’s perspective on the present and future role of private brands and the private label partnership. Afterwards, Ken Harris leads an industry panel discussion featuring Brenda Lord, Chad Coester of Albertsons, Troy Pelak of Perrigo and Clay Dockery of Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA.
Following PLMA’s Annual Meeting, Duncan Wardle leads participants into interactive group sessions that demonstrate a process by which questioning and imagination become tools that break down the barriers to problem solving. The former vice president of innovation and creativity at The Walt Disney Company, Wardle launched his creative consulting company iD8 & innov8 to help companies embed a culture of innovation and creativity across their entire organization.
Private Label Industry Hall of Fame
Join us as the Private Label Hall industry of Fame — sponsored jointly by PLMA and Store Brands magazine — celebrates the induction of Brian Sharoff, who served as PLMA’s president through four decades of extraordinary growth and success.
PLMA’s expansion from its founding in 1979 to become a multi-national organization representing manufacturers large and small to the benefit of retailers and wholesalers in countries throughout the world, would not have been possible without Brian Sharoff’s extraordinary gifts of vision and leadership. It is fitting Brian’s legacy will have a place of honor among the more than 70 manufacturers, retailers and marketing pioneers who have been inducted to the Private Label Industry Hall of Fame since 1995 for their contributions to the growth of the industry.
Zoom Networking & CocktailsNetworking is all about expanding relationships and sharing a diversity of real life experiences in the industry among colleagues, both old and new. Grab a glass, get casual and interact with conference attendees when PLMA members host a Zoom networking and cocktail hour at the end of the day.
